NIRC – Network of Italian Researchers in the Cape – is the organisation co-ordinating over sixty Italian researchers in the Cape (macro-region comprising Western, Eastern e Northern Cape).
With the support of the Consulate of Italy in Cape Town as well as of the Embassy of Italy in Pretoria, the group fosters networking opportunities and collaborations, and offers a network of connections and initiatives to share among the Italian researchers collaboration opportunities among them as well as with Italian and South African institutions, businesses, Universities and research bodies. NIRC furthermore aims at giving more visibility to the Italian academic community in the Cape by organising and promoting events to make the general public aware of the academic projects in which their members are involved.
